About this website

The Waze Rwanda Community website is a free, non-commercial community information service. It helps visitors find local community resources and clearly identified official Waze destinations.

Community status

This website and its associated community channels are privately operated by volunteers. They are neither controlled nor managed by Waze. Nothing on this website creates an employment, agency, partnership or authorised representative relationship with Waze.

Using the website

You may use this website for lawful, personal and informational purposes.

You must not:

  • interfere with the website, its hosting or its security;
  • use the website to mislead, impersonate or harm another person;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to any service or system; or
  • reuse content in a way that infringes another party's rights.

Information and community guidance

Content is provided in good faith for general information. Community guidance is not a promise that Waze will accept an application, publish a map change, approve an event or complete work by a particular date.

Road conditions and programme requirements can change. Always follow the Waze app, official Waze guidance, road signs, authorities and applicable law where they differ from community information.

Services in preparation

A label such as “In preparation” means the website does not currently accept that request. It is not a disabled application, waiting list or promise that a service will launch on a particular date.

Third-party links

Links to Waze, Google, social platforms, editor resources and other sites are provided for convenience. Those services are operated independently, and their own terms, privacy notices and availability apply after you follow a link.

Use of Waze-owned services is governed by the official Waze Terms of Use.

Names, marks and content

Waze, Google and third-party names, logos and marks belong to their respective owners. Their appearance identifies the relevant service or community context and does not transfer ownership or grant a licence to reuse them.

Availability and responsibility

The website may be changed, interrupted or withdrawn without notice. It is provided without a guarantee that every page, link or statement will always be complete, current or error-free.

To the extent permitted by law, the volunteer community is not responsible for loss caused by relying on community information or by the operation of a third-party service. Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated when the website's services or operating model changes. The published date at the top identifies the current version. Continuing to use the website after an update means the revised terms apply from their publication date.

Contact

Use the published community routes in the Contact section. Account, app and official programme support must be requested through Waze-owned services.
